From Girl #173!!!!!

Hey everybody! Girl #173 here, on Julia's laptop. I'm here to tell all you bloggers out there about an intriguing tale of action, excitement, and determination. You'll all be cheering for the protagonist in this incredible story; "The Little Engine That Could." Haha, I'm just kidding! The real book I'm here about is "Marley & Me." You"ll fall in love with this hopelessly disobedient and lovable Labrador Retriever, or as his family calls him when trying to teach him to fetch, their "Labrador Evader" Even when he's disobeying, taking his owners for walks, and getting his family kicked out of beaches and restaurants, Marley keeps his happy-go-lucky attitude through it all. After I read this book, I was kind of wishing for my own Lab!((Julia: Your own SECRET LAB?!? WITH LIKE SCIENCE?!?! Me: Go away! I'm typing!)) Anyways, you should all read this book! You'll love it! Bye!

The Hourglass Door by Lisa Mangum

You've never been kissed before. You have a boyfriend, although he wants to wait for the "perfect" time. Which is apparently your birthday. Also his. Then an Italian (and very hot) exchange student comes into the picture when he wants to join the school play(which you are the assistant director of). Remember how you've never been kissed? Not after the day the exchange student arrived. Oh, but he didn't kiss you. Your teacher did. On purpose. Out of nowhere. In front of (almost) everyone. Yup.

Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin

It starts out with a girl riding a bike to the mall. Her name is Lizzie, and she's going to help her friend pick out a prom dress. Which was exactly what was on her mind when the car hit her. You might think this is the end of her story, but it's only the beginning.

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

OMG! This book is "Completely fricking awesome" (said by Patrick Rothfuss) and I totally agree. It's even something I would say.(Girl #173: Yep.) It's 2044 and most of the world is composed of  computer-addicted-freaks. A famous video-game maker has made a computer simulation so real that just about every business has taken up there. You can even go to a virtual public school. Then, the dude dies. Like Willy Wonka, he doesn't have any family to pass down the business to. So, he hides an "Easter egg" somewhere in the game. Whoever finds it gets EVERYTHING.

Basically, this book is beast-mode. A solid A.

Switched by Amanda Hocking

I just finished this book last night. It was so good, I couldn't wait to borrow the next one from Girl #12 (a different friend) today. So, I went on Amazon.com, found the next book, and read the little "sneak peek" that was there. Okay, I'll tell you about the book now. You probably think trolls are short, multi-colored creatures but, really they look like us. The only difference is their magical powers. Wendy has never fit in to her family, and now there's actually a reason why.

I give this book an A-.

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

Even if it's hard to believe, this girl is stranger than me. She's a high-school-aged girl taking college classes. Not healthy for a social life (Hers is even worse than mine). That is, until Gus (Augustus). Her first real friend.

I'll give this one an A-

A random list of amazing books I've read: (not in any particular order, I just type as I remember)

*Graceling Series- followed by Fire and Bitterblue
*Uglies series- followed by Pretties, Specials, and Extras
*The Fault In Our Stars
*The Hourglass Door- followed by The Golden Spiral and The Forgotten Locket
*Maximum Ride series- I'm too lazy to list them all

I know, I know that's not a lot, only twenty-something titles. I'll give you some more later. Peace out!
