From Girl #173!!!!!

Hey everybody! Girl #173 here, on Julia's laptop. I'm here to tell all you bloggers out there about an intriguing tale of action, excitement, and determination. You'll all be cheering for the protagonist in this incredible story; "The Little Engine That Could." Haha, I'm just kidding! The real book I'm here about is "Marley & Me." You"ll fall in love with this hopelessly disobedient and lovable Labrador Retriever, or as his family calls him when trying to teach him to fetch, their "Labrador Evader" Even when he's disobeying, taking his owners for walks, and getting his family kicked out of beaches and restaurants, Marley keeps his happy-go-lucky attitude through it all. After I read this book, I was kind of wishing for my own Lab!((Julia: Your own SECRET LAB?!? WITH LIKE SCIENCE?!?! Me: Go away! I'm typing!)) Anyways, you should all read this book! You'll love it! Bye!

SilverFin by Charlie Higson

It's British, that's one reason to like it. In fact, that should be like, a whole ten reasons to like it in my opinion. It's also James Bond, but as a kid. I'm not really sure how old he is, around 13. The book teaches you facts you have no reason to know, unless you play Trivial Pursuit and I did AND I WAS SO EXCITED THAT I ACTUALLY KNEW A SPORTS QUESTION!!!!!!!!!! : D
' "A dry bob is a boy who plays cricket, and a wet bob is one who chooses rowing."
"Really?"
"Yes, really."
"And what do you call a boy who doesn't do either?"
"A slack bob" '
BOOM! Right there. I'm awesome.

Anyway, as far as I can tell, the evil person (such great vocabulary right?) is an American ('Murca) that is rich and is plotting something to do with flesh eating eels. Oh, and he makes and sells weapons. Lovely.

The Puzzler's Mansion by Eric Berlin

Hi!  Sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry. Sorry. Does that cover it? No? SORRY!
There. So,  yeah is been a while. Sorry. I've been busy with life and... I've been cheating on you. With fanfiction.Sorry!!!!  I'll set a reminder on my phone to tell me at least every week to post something. I'm try.
So this book is... well I'd  be in love with it if I was like nine,  but it's only a little crush so... not too bad. It's really cool. It's like one of those puzzle books with the answers in the back, but with actual plot. And a twist ending. Apparently there's two others I have yet to read, and say least one came before this one. (Bad Julia, bad!)
A B.
P.S. One of my stories on fanfiction is titled "House of Hades" and you can find me by that. You'll know the one I'm talking about.
PEACE

How to Train Your Dragon series by Credissa Cowell

Don't you hate it when you find out a really good book you've read is coming out as a movie and you get all excited then you watch the movie and you want to murder the movie company? I sure do. Anyway, that's what happened with this book. For those of you that have seen the movie but haven't read the book; first of all, EVERYBODY trains a dragon. Second of all, Toothless is really toothless... and very small and useless and completely ordinary. So, what does Hiccup do with a toothless dragon, a useless friend(Fishlegs), and a girl that can fight better than him, Fishlegs, and Toothless combined? Well, he goes and gets a foe that JUST WON"T FREAKING DIE!!!!! Sorry, it's a bit frustrating.

The Hourglass Door by Lisa Mangum

You've never been kissed before. You have a boyfriend, although he wants to wait for the "perfect" time. Which is apparently your birthday. Also his. Then an Italian (and very hot) exchange student comes into the picture when he wants to join the school play(which you are the assistant director of). Remember how you've never been kissed? Not after the day the exchange student arrived. Oh, but he didn't kiss you. Your teacher did. On purpose. Out of nowhere. In front of (almost) everyone. Yup.

The Name Of This Book Is Secret by Pseudonymous Bosch

The thing that makes this book interesting, is that you're not allowed to read the first chapter. Nope. The author doesn't even want to give you the danger of this book's secrets, but nobody can keep in a secret. Right? At least, that's what he says. I'm not so sure about it.

Anyway, I'll be generous and give this book a B.

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

OMG! This book is "Completely fricking awesome" (said by Patrick Rothfuss) and I totally agree. It's even something I would say.(Girl #173: Yep.) It's 2044 and most of the world is composed of  computer-addicted-freaks. A famous video-game maker has made a computer simulation so real that just about every business has taken up there. You can even go to a virtual public school. Then, the dude dies. Like Willy Wonka, he doesn't have any family to pass down the business to. So, he hides an "Easter egg" somewhere in the game. Whoever finds it gets EVERYTHING.

Basically, this book is beast-mode. A solid A.

Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins

Okay, I have to admit, I didn't read this book because I wanted to. Well, sort of. It was for a project at school. It was so amazing, I immediately read the rest of the series. Anyway, if you like adventure, then this is the book for you. What if one day you wake up, find your younger sibling missing, and when you look for her you enter a world you never knew existed. Oh, and did I mention you're supposed to save it from total chaos and destruction?

I give this book a B+.
