Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins

Okay, I have to admit, I didn't read this book because I wanted to. Well, sort of. It was for a project at school. It was so amazing, I immediately read the rest of the series. Anyway, if you like adventure, then this is the book for you. What if one day you wake up, find your younger sibling missing, and when you look for her you enter a world you never knew existed. Oh, and did I mention you're supposed to save it from total chaos and destruction?

I give this book a B+.

The Lorax by Dr. Seuss

I know, I know, it's a picture book and I'm eleven years old. Oh, well. If you don't like that I'm doing this, sorry about your luck. Anyway, when I was younger that book made me sad. The whole "present day" place was smoggy and gross. It was a horrible place to live in. Although, my favorite quote is from that book: "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing's going to get better. It's not." By the way, if I'm really busy one day, I might just post book quotes. At least it'll leave you with something. (Ya hear that Girl #173? Yes, I am stealing your idea.) It really was her idea, only partially though. She would send me "quotes of the day" so I started sending her "book quotes of the day". Yep.

Switched by Amanda Hocking

I just finished this book last night. It was so good, I couldn't wait to borrow the next one from Girl #12 (a different friend) today. So, I went on Amazon.com, found the next book, and read the little "sneak peek" that was there. Okay, I'll tell you about the book now. You probably think trolls are short, multi-colored creatures but, really they look like us. The only difference is their magical powers. Wendy has never fit in to her family, and now there's actually a reason why.

I give this book an A-.

Lost in Translation

Quick Disclaimer:  Everywhere Julia says that she is "strange" or "not normal", substitute the word "awesome." For a kid who reads as much as she does she sometimes gets those words confused.

- The Mom

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

Even if it's hard to believe, this girl is stranger than me. She's a high-school-aged girl taking college classes. Not healthy for a social life (Hers is even worse than mine). That is, until Gus (Augustus). Her first real friend.

I'll give this one an A-
