SilverFin by Charlie Higson

It's British, that's one reason to like it. In fact, that should be like, a whole ten reasons to like it in my opinion. It's also James Bond, but as a kid. I'm not really sure how old he is, around 13. The book teaches you facts you have no reason to know, unless you play Trivial Pursuit and I did AND I WAS SO EXCITED THAT I ACTUALLY KNEW A SPORTS QUESTION!!!!!!!!!! : D
' "A dry bob is a boy who plays cricket, and a wet bob is one who chooses rowing."
"Really?"
"Yes, really."
"And what do you call a boy who doesn't do either?"
"A slack bob" '
BOOM! Right there. I'm awesome.

Anyway, as far as I can tell, the evil person (such great vocabulary right?) is an American ('Murca) that is rich and is plotting something to do with flesh eating eels. Oh, and he makes and sells weapons. Lovely.

Everybody Sees the Ants by A.S.King

This one is a little... strange. Well, all the books are strange, but this one, THIS one, was especially strange. His father is a turtle; never has any time for him or his mother because he too busy "cooking". But, that's okay. Well, at least for his mother. She's a squid; she's always swimming of she has nothing better to do, and sometimes even when she does. How does the boy handle all this, you ask? He hangs out with his grandfather. Oh, by the way, did I mention he's dead?

Grade: B-

P.S.- Do you notice anything different? Please answer with a comment.
